Hi everyone, I am a very concerned boyfriend. I have searched up and down the internet trying to find answers and im hoping I can find more information out here.

Well heres the story. My girlfriend has been on the pill for 3 months now for the past 3 days she has experienced spotting, she is still 2 weeks away from her period. Recently I believe she missed a pill and took it the morning after, im not positive but I think I remember her taking it in the morning because she had missed it. We had unprotected sex (well she was still on the pill I just wasnt wearing a condom) twice between her last period and now. One time which was after she had missed the pill but that was very recent. She has only missed the pill that one day in the past 3 months and she took it asap the next morning.

Ive read information on implamentation bleeding, but I read that that only lasts for 1-2 days and is usually 11-12 days after fertilization, but she hadnt been fertile til this past week (or at least I dont think im not sure on her exact schedule)

i also read that implamentation bleeding usually happens around or during the time when you would normally have your period... Is that true? That would make the most sense to me I guess, from a logical standpoint, but then again this is a womans body were talkin about here... Something I know nothing about...

ive also read that the pill can cause spotting as well as other infections etc etc.

Honestly, I wouldnt be freaking out so much if it werent for cosmo magazine... I know it sounds really wierd, but the day my girlfriend first mentioned she had spotting, she purchased cosmo. And in there was an article on spotting while on the pill or something like that, and it had the possibilities listed like, the pill, std, or pregnancy... And of course the first thing I see on that page is the pregnancy part so thats kind of why ive been on this search for information.

Should we be concerned for her being pregnant? Or am I just over worried and thinking to much about it? Shes still 2 weeks from her "sugar pills" so its a ways til she has her period, could it still be pregnancy?

I hope this made some sense, and if you have any information I would be greatful for your input. Thanks in advance. And sorry for the extreemly long post, I just thought the more information I give the better my responses might be. Thanks again and please feel free to correct me if im wrong on any of the information ive gathered in the past few days.

Obviously, because there was sex involved there is a possibility of pregnancy. Birth controls pills can lessen the chances of becoming pregnant but do not work 100%. But really all you can do is wait, if she is late on her period she can take a home pregnancy test.

If she did miss a pill and take it the next morning that could cause a little spotting, so that may be all that it is. Rough sex can also cause spotting.

If she doesnt get her period have her test! Good luck to you!

Ok so update today, and I think I should be relieved I guess but I dont really know.

So first of all I was wrong she has 1 week til she suppose to get her period, so that means that implantation bleeding would occur right around the 12-16 which means now... So this freaks me out

however today... She had terrible cramps and was experiencing heavy bleeding like she had her period. Is it possible shes got her period 1 week in advance? She is still experiencing bleeding like its her period but its slowed down a lot and shes having terrible cramps. Shes also feeling sick but that may be due to the high stress shes had with family issues. Or could this mean something else I dont know about, also shes going to call a doctor tomorrow to see what they say, im not only now concerned about her being pregnant but also about her personal health... Any information again would be appreciated. Thanks.
