I was thinking of having a test but I have heard you need to wait about 3 months. Is that just for true result or can I still get it since its only been a month?

I had unprotected anal sex.. Foolishly! And never again! The partners stat I don't know. It only lasted about 2 minutes though...

I feel fine, but of course you don't have to feel different to have hiv.
I only had it once as well...

Ok
Sure, you assumed a two minute risk, but the risk could've been worse. It is classified as the riskiest type of behavior, but things are looking in your favor.

1- you may have dodged a bullet (so to speak).
2- you learned your lesson.
3- you will not try it again.
4- you will use protection if it must happen.
5- you should wait 90 days after exposure and take an routine elisa.
6- your test will come back in your favor.

Don't gor "looking" for hiv again. It will creep up on you if you keep taking such risks!

When to Test
The reason why you are advised to wait three months before testing is because this is the maximum amount of time it usually takes the body to produce antibodies against hiv. The test looks for these antibodies o confirm the presence of hiv.
Granted, antibodies are often present after a month or two, but to be sure, a three month wait is advisable. If you recieve a negative result before three months, it is very encouraging but not definitive.

Never have unprotected anal sex again. Ever.
