Hi, i'm new here. I'm 23. I used to be big into watching tv shows and movies, but for the past few years, something changed. I just lack a real passion for watching most tv shows. With movies, 99% of new movies I watch, I get bored very easily and just lose interest. It's also strange that i'd rather think, talk and read about movies and tv shows, than watch them. I also used to be big into watching football, but I lose more and more interest every year. I just don't understand it.

I only worry about dying all the time, and my parents dying.

Is this dysthymia or something else? Thanks.

Sound like depression. Losing interest in activities is a common symptom. There are medications to help you overcome this. A Dr. Or couselor would help.
Sorry i'm not sure what dysthmia is? Is it the same as depression.
Take care and the very best to you. Sorry you have not had a reply for awhile.

Hi steve4991. We are not dr's. Here and even if we were we could not not diagnose you without seeing you and talking to you. Have you seen and talked to a Dr., that would be your best bet, their are good docs and some great meds that can help you, and do not feel bad about getting help as we all need a little help sometime.
Keep us posted on what you find out and how you are doing after you see a Dr.
Sincerly,
sandy
