:d hiya guys, my name is teigan, im new to this site so be easy with me!!

Im a 23 female, and im not that fit, so when I excersise I can feel my heart at a good pace, and my resting heart rate is normally in the 68 to 76 mark, only lately I have felt my heart rate slower than normal and even had it to 56, which in all hoesty scared the pants off me. I suffer with anxiety, but it aint that as that makes my heart beat faster. Ive got the docs 2morra but just wondered if anione else has had the same and if ya think its owt 2 worry about, nhs help line thought I might be anemic, but that also makes your heart race not slow down, so I am puzzled.

Please help
loads a love

Hi tegs,
yes I have the same thing happen. My heart rate is normally around 64 - 70. But when I had a holter monitor one once trying to find out if I was suffering anxiety or if I had a heart condition, it showed that my heart rate while sleeping got down to 43 bpm. The doctor assures me that most people also get down this low they just don't know it cause they don't have a monitor on. Your heart rate can go down to 30 bpm before it will effect you - and by effect I mean you will pass out.

I have stopped worrying about mine - some days I check my pulse to see what my bpm are - if I am not feeling right -but I have learnt that this is also a part of anxiety and I need to stop thinking about it that way I won't get stressed!
