I was diagnosed with chlamydia recently, having a chlamydia igg count of 57.8 ru/ml.

After two weeks of an erithromycin course the count dropped to 51.0.

The doctor then put me on zithromycin for two weeks. However symptoms still persist (mostly, testicular pain).

Is he prescribing the most effective treatment? What are my other options? Should I just continue with the zithromycin?

Your advice and experience please...
Cheers!
