Would the first period after a long time of amenorrhea be heavy or painful?

How long has it been since you had your period?? The longer its been the heavier and more cramping you could have....I didn't have a period at all for 6 months and a regular period for a couple years (other than a couple days of spotting) so when I went on provera to bring on a period I felt like I was bleeding to death basically....Ibprofen became my best friend for the cramps....Well good luck
