I am 33 years old, I plan to get married in the next months to a nice swedish guy.
But, how can I marry when I look ill.
I have ibs, I am not sure..How to treat it.
My mother has crohns disease, I think I inherited the weak bowel through her.
I was also informed, I have pernicious anemia.(meaning my body cannot or won't absorb vitamin b complex vitamins.
I am very underweight, I weigh around 98 lbs now.
Whenever, I get my period( I really feel nausea, during periods) or the slightest sickness, my weight plummets.
My best weight is 110 lbs.
I have to struggle to achieve that.
I don't even know, why I am able to gain weight at certain periods in my life and not at others.
When, I am heavier I look really great. Now I look frail.
Everyone tells me, I should gain weight. I can't.. I am even taking protein shakes, nothing is working...
How do I gain weight, when my body isn't obviously absorbing the food nutrients??
Anyone, with similar issues.

The only advice I can give would, if you smoke.......Quit!!

I was diagnosed with ibs while I was in the navy and my father has chrones/cholitis and the thing about that dieses is that you cannot inherit it. It does not get passed through the genes.

When I quit smoking 3 years ago, I never ever have had another problem with my stomach again. I am a 5' 10" guy and I weighed about 140 while I smoked because I was contantly sick to my stomach and had chronic diareha. Not any longer though. I was able to conquer that problem.

Also take imodium to help in emergencies.

Hi
I never have smoked in my entire life.
I don't drink alcohol either really, only during special events.
My problem has nothing to do with my lifestyle.
