Hi I havehad bullemia for a year and a half and I have not really noticed a change in my teeth

Well bulimia starts rotting your teeth from the time you start. People will not ntice3 them probably but your dentist will. After years one day you will notice a change too and then it will be too late to do anything.
Your dentist may recognize it by the back of your throat more than your teeth maybe.

I guess it depends on how often you throw up & whether you brush right after. I was bulimic for years & never had a problem with wearing down teeth.

But bulimia does cause osteoporosis, which is when your bones & teeth don't get enough calcium. So your teeth & jawbone get hollow & your teeth fall out before you are very old. I knew a 47-year-old bulimic who had false teeth because of that.

So please try to get help so you can stop this very harmful behavior! There are so many reasons to quit!!!

don't brush your teeth after vomiting...Rinse your mouth out with baking soda, something to counter the extra acidity in your mouth.

I had bulimia for 2 years and I lost all my teeth. That's right...Every last one. They all had to be pulled and I now have dentures.

How many times a day/ week were you throwing up?

I throw up at least 10 times a day, up to 20 times.

Hi im meeting my parents in a few months (they live in a different country) and im sure that they will take me to the dentist

will the dentist know about my bullimia? and so that means they will tell my parents and my parents will find out that i purge?
