Hi there everyone just joined up,i was wondering if anyone could give me some advice.During last 18months I have been experiencing strange symptoms at night and am wondering if they could be seizures. The majority have happened just as I was about to drop off to sleep when all of a sudden my brain feels as though it gets scrambled all over the place for 2 or 3 seconds then it immediately stops although I feel really shaken(i am totally aware of what has happened). Also had quite a few times when I have literally woke up like a bolt out of the blue feeling as though something terrible has just happened and feeling really shaken again this always happens within first hour of going to sleep.Does this sound like seizures or some other sleep related phenomonen and if it is a nocturnal seizure would a medicine like gabapentin possibly help, any info much appreciated, paolo.

Sounds like some tests and a trip to a neurologist would be a good idea.
