Q: Pain Under Ribs

3 days ago a pain developed when I took a deep breath. I feel short of breath and when I breathe deeply a stabbing pain is felt at the bottom of my ribs on the left side. It has slowly worsened to the point where the pain has radiated up to my neck on inhalation of a deep breath. I have had an xray and a cat scan with nothing showing up. The pain is still the same. Tends to be worse in the morning and eases up slightly as the day goes on. The pain is only on the left side it has not gone to the right hand side at all. I haven't injured myself and can really see no reason for the pain, but the pain is wearing me out!
