Yesterday morning I woke up and I may have been laying poorly on the bed but unless I sat up perfectly straight my chest would hurt pretty badly. Whenever I would eat/drink something, my chest felt like it was trying to swallow something really large. That has carried over into today; not with the same severity(though it was never crippling or anything) but im 17 years old and ive had pains relative to these recently. Once my back felt like it had been hit with a pole for a while. Im just wondering is my bed doing this or could the throat thing be different. I dont know. Would anybody give me guidance. Oh and whenever I burp from like a soda or something it hurts a tremendous amount more than other times.

I think you might have barrett's esophagus. I myself was diagnosed with that. I suggest you have your doctor give you an endoscopy that's how you will know for sure what you have. I have pain and I sometimes have a hard time swallowing and I purp a lot when I eat or drink something and I get really tight knot feelings in my chest. I was perscribed prilosec for my acid reflux. You can buy it over the counter you don't need a perscription. My father also had that disease but he had ulcers on his esophagus. He would really get bad pains and sometimes we thought he was having a heart attack. In december of 2003 my precious father did have a real heart attack and passed away. We thought at the time it was his esophogus but we were wrong that time. So please have yourself checked immediatley you are to young to be going through this. I hope everything works out for the best for you good luck!
