I apologise for the lonq query, but I am really at my wits end. And I would appreciate any help.

I have been very ill since 2003. I started getting a severe ear ache and was diagnosed with an ear infection. But till now, I constantly have a swollen feeling in my inner-left ear and left thyroid area. The pain also stretches to the back of my left ear. This pain intensifies during my menses.

Soon the stomach problems started. I have lots of acid and nausea. The pain seems to be connected with my ear, as they ocur at the same time. The hospital diagnosed me saying that my stomach produces too much acid and that it probably a hormone problem. I was sent to a gynaecologist and am still under observation but so far nothing conclusive has been found.

A few months after the initial ear aches my womb strated giving me problems as well. My menses used to come regularly, but soon started coming 5 days to a week earlier. My menses pattern was 3 days of spotting 3 days of heavy flow then a sudden end. I would get sick just before, during and immediately after the end of my menses. These days, my menses last anywhere form 5 days to a week. The pattern becomes 4-5 days of spotting, 3 - 4 days of heavy flow and another 3-4 days of spotting. Now I am even more sick just before, during and immediately after the end of my menses. My cramps and pains are even more severe and there are lots of blood clots.

For the past 4 months, I have suffered from a constant throbbing pain in the left side of my stomach area which stretches even to my back. It comes when I am eating or lying down. I keep getting a deep hungry feeling, drowsiness, nausea, I feel cold and weak and I have totally no strength and my limbs are trembling and shakey. I also suffer from flu-like aches and pains in my body. I keep sweating but I feel weak and cold. My arms and legs feel very ill and terrible.

My moth and tongue have a tingling feeling. My heart also sometimes has palpitations, like I am drowning. My urine also has a strong odour. I feel sick after urinating or moving my bowels. The gynaecologist said I have a few cysts(fibroids) but not big enough to be the cause of my problems.

During my past 2-3 menses, when it comes the deep hunger comes frequently, and I have to eat. When I am not having my menses, the hunger comes every few hours. But during menses, from 3pm onwards, I get hungry every hour. The sickest period of my day is 8.30a.M. - 12 p.M., 3-5p.M. And 9-10p.M.

Three days ago, I started feeling very ill. In addition to my usual symptoms I now have a soreness at the front of my left eye and nose. My neck also hurts. This pain is on the left side of my head and stretches uo and over to the back of my head. I have very bad flu-like aches in my body, nausea, a sickness in my stomach, and my body feels like jelly. I feel worse when I lie down. There's a pain inside of my left stomach, a pain in my right genital area, and an on and off swelling of my right leg. There's also an itchy soreness in my throat glands. My left eye also twitches constantly and my vision is blurred.

All my doctors are telling me that the illness is all in my head. But the physical sickness I feel is very real and I suffer every day. I hope that someone can help tell me what is wrong, or at least tell me I am not alone.

Thank you

Hi renata i'm sorry to hear what you are going through. Wow it sounds like you have a variety of symptoms which most likely will need separate treatment. The only person who can help is your Dr. You mentioned they said its all in you head well tell them and argue until they give you a full exam and make a diagnosis. Thi is part of their job, you can file a complaint if they don't.
If they still don't listen, its time to switch to a new dr who will listen to toyu and wnats what is best for you. You deserve this for yourself- to get help and live happily.
I'm sorry you are suffering so much. Please please post again on what you did and how you feel. Waiting for your reply...
Take care of yourself, hope you feel ok, get a good gp...
