Hi there! I am no Dr., but it does sound like you need to see one. It could be your sciatica, which is very painful or another pinched nerve, it is not going to go away on its own. Keep us posted on what you find out. It helps me sometimes to sleep with a pillow between my legs as it helps to take the pressure off the spine, if I sleep on my side, but still, you should get it checked out.
Sincerely,
sandy

Pinched Nerve
Danygirl85,

there are a few things that can cause your legs to go numb. First off, a herniated disc in your lower back can compress a nerve and cause pain down the legs, usually on the side that you feel it on.

Second, compression on the sciatic nerve by hip rotator muscles can create the same symptoms.

I highly suggest that you sleep on your back and avoid side-lying. When is the pain the worst?

See a spine specialist, anonymous. Many times nerve compression in your shoulder can be the result of cervical nerve compression.

A spine surgeon can rule that possibility in or out.

MY husband saw an orthopedic surgeon for his shoulder and was then sent to my spine surgeon as he has nerve compression in his cervical spine.

conservative treatment would start with physical therapy to try and relieve the compression on the nerve.

Dannygirl85, it could be sciatica, and it could be something else. You need a proper diagnosis, not ideas on how to relieve pain that you don not know what is it's cause.

Pain is the body's signal to you that something isn't right and it needs to be checked out.

Go see a spinal specialist for proper evaluation and treatment.

sorecheek,

What type of pain are you having? Can you describe it.

Depending on the type of pain, it could be nerve compression

This is a sharp pain in center of left buttocks. It has been a problem for three or for months. It seems to increase after lifting or squating, and after exersize. I'm a 51 year old female, and very active. Heat helps some, but after any activity it's back to sorecheek.

sorecheek,

You need to see a spine specialist. It could be spinal stenosis in the L4/L5/S1.

That is where my pain first started and eventually went down the back of my right leg, all the way to my right foot.
Then the burning, tingling and numbness started.

Best thing to do is get to a spine specialist, either an orthopedic surgeon that specializes in spines or a neurosurgeon that specializes in spines only.
They will examine you and no doubt send you for an MRI to see what is going on.

Good luck

Back pain
I've been working in retail for about 7 months....all i do is stand up and i don't know if standing up for long periods of time can cause back pains. My boyfriend also told me that he can feel a couple bumps on the top right side of my back which is where i have been feeling the back pain. He tried massaging but it hurt whenever he touched the bumps...He also said cracking my back might help but i don't know what to do?

If its due to a herniated disc, you might be able to get rid of it using a procedure called Vax-D. I'd suggest looking into it, since it's non-surgical. I'm in Chicago, we have places here that offer it.
