I'm a new poster and had a question. I have been on paxil, 80 mg., for four years. I've recently cut myself back to 40 mg. And was wondering if anyone else had done this and what the result was. I have been itching like nothing else and was wondering if this was normal.
Thank you.

Hi daynette,

i was on paxil a long time ago and it made me itch like crazy. I'm afraid I stopped using it after that.

I was on paxil for a year, and when I gradually took myself off it I had all kinds of aweful side effects. I felt like I was being shocked over and over, especially around my mouth and face. My face itched. It was weird and scary. I won't go on it again ever because of that.
