Q: Stomach Gurgles, Gas

After I eat, I have excessive gas and my stomach makes loud, gurgling noises. Most of the time I get a stomachache too. The gas is foul-smelling and also comes out in burps, which taste bad and sometimes make me feel nauseous. When I try to hold the gas in, it adds to my stomachache and I have to let it out. Is there a way to relieve this embarrassing problem? Or what could be causing it?

What are you eating? Maybe your having a reaction to something.

How do you consume your food? Are you chewing properly and eating slowly? How often do you eat and how much are you eating in one sitting?

Re: Stomach Gurgles, Gas
I had this problem few years back and it was reflux disease. Too much food, soft drinks, alcohol, coffee cause it. It was fixed with acid reducer medicine. You can get over the counter. When ever I have this problem now, I take one acid reducer pill half an hour before food and that fixes it. In this disease, stomach is producing too much acid when you eat something so before you eat something, take this pill and stomach would produce normal acid. Remember to look for "acid reducer" not "anti acid", at walmart, pharmacy etc.. Antacid's try to neutralize acid after it is produced while "acid reducer" produces normal acid in the first place, more like preventive measure.
