Q: Just Arrhythmia? Please Help!

I am 23 female. 3 weeks ago I had an episode of feeling faint, and my heart started pounding for about 20 minutes. I freaked out and went to the hospital. They said I was dehydrated, which I found weird because I had a lot of water that morning. After that day, I have not felt myself. I went to the doctor complaining of very short periods of my heart beating fast, feeling faint, feeling "anxious" at times, and my throat for some reason feeling "tight". After wearing the holtor monitor, and numerous blood tests(which came out perfect), she told me I have arrhythmia. She didn't seem concerned, said I had a "not serious" kind. However, she said to document my feelings over the next 3 weeks, and if I keep having symptoms, she is going to send me to a cardiologist. Since then, I have not felt rapid heartbeats, but I seem to feel "on-edge" all of the time. I am obsessed with this and think I am going to drop dead at any minute of the day. Could this just be anxiety from worrying so much? Or could she be wrong and could I have something much more serious?

Hi stix,
please refer to my post to chris 321 early today. I think you need the dr to catch it when your palpitation is on.
Good luck.

Interesting that a friend of mine at church has just been through the same thing, except that her doctor said that she is having anxiety attacks. I don't know what meds she is on, but when she is having these attacks she takes some medicine and waits for the rapid heart rate to slow down. The doctors say that her heart is fine. She seems to have these attacks when she is in a room full of people. I hope this is helpful to you. She is about your age and I know how disturbing this has been to her.
