Hey every one, sorry I haven't been around in a while. After I split with my bf 5 months ago it didn't seem worth the effort. :( any way, before when I was ttc I had only been off birth control 0-5 months so maybe thats why I never got pregnant? This time its been 8 months off bcp and I was just wondering if any one knows what my ovulation time would have been. I had af on the 1st, my normal cycle is 37 days. I bd on 10th and 30 and 31st using no protection etc. I would love to be a mother, I just cant see it happening. Thanks for reading. Chloe. :(

Everyone's cycle is different, hun. Maybe get one of those ovulation tester things and figure out when you ovulate.
Don't you want to wait until you have a husband or at least a steady man to get pregnant? I'm not trying to be mean, if that's not what you want then ok, but I just wondered. Good luck to you.

It's all good. A lot of women have babies without fathers and actually some get artificially inseminated too. I have no problem with that whatsoever and if I ever wanted children that is most likely what I would do. So, I wasn't saying there is anything wrong with getting pregnant when you aren't married/commited, etc. I just wanted to make sure you knew that.
Good luck sweety! I hope you get what you want in life!

Day one is the first day of your period.
So on average you have 37 days between the first day of one period and the first day of the next.
Ovualtion occurs around 14 days before your period (it is those hormones that cause the period), so you are looking at ovulating about day 23.
Sperm can survive for upto 5 days, and an egg is viable for upto 36 hours after release from the ovary.
So from day 18 to 24/25 is your fertile window going by the details you have provided.
Around this time you are likely to notice the discharge/mucus from your vagina is kinda like egg white - fertile mucus.

(occassionally some people have kooky cycles and ovulate at random times but that is not the standard.)

i'm assuming bd means you had sex? But it would seem this did not occur in your fertile window.
