Post-meno And Vaginal Bleeding
Avatar
I'm new to the group and could use some feedback. I'm 61 and have been in meno since age 53. I've had slight vaginal bleeding on and off for years. I had two endrmetrial biopsies throughout those years. Both negative.

I use monistat almost all the time as I feel as if I have an infection. Not sure that I always do as I also have severe vaginal atrophy.

The doctors seem to think the atrophy and/or using the monistat all the time is causing it. I do have an appointment next week for a sonogram.

Has anyone else had this experience and can you shed some light for me? Each time it happens I get scared but guess after so many years it probably is a vaginal problem.

Thanks.

Thank you but i'm not interested in being solicited online in forums for the purposes of getting a sales pitch.

Menopause
Oh but there are many people out there who are looking for solutions. I believe once people are educated, they can make better decisions about their health.

All the best,

Spotting 5 Years After Menopause
I am spotting very lightly every two weeks now for the past 6 weeks and it's been 5 years since my periods stopped. Can this be normal? And yes, I would appreciate any help.

Hormones!
You need to be concerned about bleeding post meno
get a biopsy

be careful about bioidentical hormones unless they're formulated by a professional (pharmacist) because otherwise they're wildly different in concentrations

wild yam is nonsense

natural progesterone can offer different doses and in a cream it's highly nonspecific as to the dose applied, creams are meant to circumvent the liver "enterohepatic recycling" and require lower dose...But it's like throwing an anvil at an ant...
Just go to pros, not internet nobodys without even a bachelor's degree

Periods Happen
 i'm 57 & I went through meno about 6 years ago. Since then, I have had 2 periods, complete with cramping the day before and tender breasts weeks before. It seems to happen whenever I spend some time with my daughter or sister who happens to be having their period. It will trigger a period. I think there's a lot doctors don't know yet. (it's like my body needs to compete in the childbearing arena even though I am on the bench!) btw, I had a very painful uterine exam after the first time it happened. They scraped & jabbed me with a straw-like stick for the most horrible 30 seconds, followed by severe cramping. Never again! Test results for cancer or other problems? Negative. I think my body is just winding down slower than most.

strange things happen when we're going through menopause. Each one of us is unique in our symptoms, too.
