Q: Strange Ear Problem

Hello, currently my left ear feels like it has some pressure in it, or as if it was clogged. My mother used ear drops and a plunger to clean my ears thursday as I had a ton of wax in it then, so, she did and it felt fine, and I went to bed. The next day when I woke up my ear felt the strange way like I described in the opening sentence. During the day it would feel normal with only slight pressure feeling then it would go back to this clogged or pressure feeling and my hearing felt uneven. So, later that day my dad used the plunger to see if any mroe wax would come out, yet got nothing. My mother gave me some medicine for sinus and later it felt fine and did for the night and most of today, but now it has this feeling again. I took some medicine not too long ago. I have had a cold for the past couple of days with runny and stuffy nose, kind of soar throat (its not sore anymore). I have tried holding my nose and blowing, chewing, moving my jaw (when I do this I can hear sligh little pops in my left ear yet it doesnt clear it up.) I had a ruptured eardrum in this same ear about 11 months ago yet it healed fine in about a week and a half and I could hear normally as I always did.

Clogged Ear
Just read your posting... Has that feeling gone away??

I perforated my ear drum about 10 days ago, after an ocean wave crashed into the left side of my ear... Pain pretty bad the first 2 days, but then no pain, but the annoying symptons you posted. My ear is very clogged for external noises, but if I try to "pop" my ears by holding my nose and blowing, the clogged feeling doesn't go away, but all of my internal noises (breathing, chewing, swallowing) are really amplified... It is becoming so annoying. Just wondering if you ever figured out what it was, and/or if it ever went away.
