I'm new to this stuff. What does an elavated ast and alt test mean. Nothing else was elavated. Also what does it mean to have antibodies to the c virus. What does it mean to be reactive to hep c virus?????

Any answers would help.........................Thanx annie

A raised ast and alt means there is some inflammation in the liver. Antibodies to hep c means you have been infected with it in the past
