I have just been diagnosed with mononucleosis.
Now my boyfriend and I are very serious. We plan to get married, and even start a family in a few years. He says he really doesn't care if he gets infected, but I do. It's been a terrible time for me. The virus can be passed through kissing, which really is one of our favorite things. I probably got infected from work, i'm a casher. I may be a chronic hand washer, but i'm an obsessive nail biter.
1) would I pass the virus onto my future children during pregnancy?
2) my boyfriend may or may not have the virus. Should he get tested?

You will not *pass* anyzjing on to a future child.
Your bf can't be tested for the virus untill if/when he shows signes of the virus, even then it could take 5-14 days after the initial onset to have a positive test result.
