I have been having tingling sensations in my right arm now for some time. It comes and goes and I have been tested for carpal tunnel several months ago and that came back negative. I am experiencing one of those tingling moments right now and have had this pretty much all week...But it has traveled now to my back...I have an area inbetween my shoulder blades that is numb and tingly and will not go away....I at first was concerned about a pinched nerve somewhere but nothing relaly hurts on me, just this tingling sensation that is driving me whacko....Not sure what to do. I have made a Dr. Appt. But it is two weeks out. Just wondering if anyone has experienced anything like this before and any suggestions as to what might be going on. I am also concerned that there could be a tumor someplace back there growing and pressing against a nerve somewhere...Any ideas?!?!?!?!

Re: Tingling In Right Arm And In My Back
I have the same symptons in my left arm for about 3 months now. The tingle if focused just below my sholder and travels down my forearm. It only occurs when im in some positions. The problem started when I slept on one of the "ergo" pillows, so im thinking I have a pinched nerve in my neck.

tingle in the right arm and shoulder
Can't tell you what it might be but I am also having the same thing and thought the same things that you do. No I have not gone to the doctors. I thought at first it was from working out. Then I thought it was bad circulation. I guess it's one more thing to deal with. OH WELL

Tingling in right arm and in back
Hello all,

It seems that you are having some pinched and / or dislocated nerves in your back and possibly your shoulder.

I would suggest to see a special massage therapist or a chiro or somebody like me.

Good luck

Started having a tingling sensation in right arm and numbness intermittently in my 3 middle fingers right hand...came on suddently...went to Doctor, had back & neck X-4ays, waiting on results...went to chiro. today...and had adjustment, little better - but going back to him in 3 days. weird feeling - like electrical impulses up and down right arm - not painful, just unpleasant and definitely not normal!

tingling sensation at about my right shoulder
I myself have a sort of numness/ pain/tingling sensation at about my right shoulder blade, and in my upper right arm. It feels like l want to hand from the monkey bars until the pain goes away. I wouod liken it to a stress pain, or carpul tunnel syndrom. I'll probaby ask my doctor about it in 3 weeks. 42 yo male.

I have been having a very light tingling down my left arm - actually it feels more like an electrical impulse in/on my skin, or like a feather being stroked down my arm. Also noticed previous to my arm starting up, that when undressing on a couple of occasions it felt as if someone ran a feather quickly across my back. This all appears to be in/on my skin. No pain. Just wondering if it's something I should be really concerned about?

Tingly right arm
I have the same thing and have assumed it's a pinched nerve. I'm going to book in with my massage therapist to see if she can sort it out. Thou I have been through a lot of stress lately and wonder if it could be to do with that.
If my massage therapist can't fix it then I'm off the the Drs as I've also been experiencing awful headaches these last 3 days.

Tingling down my right arm, you too huh?
Started having these for about a week. No other pain, just a dull pain near my armpit more towards the triceps and tingling down my right arm. Definitely kind of odd. Going to check with the doc next week. 38 yo male.

Been there...done that...and have weird symptoms today.
I started having this annoying tingling on the inside of my right arm between my hand and elbow. I know I have a sometimes pinched nerve between my 6th and 7th verterbrate in my neck and I once took a cortizone shot in my neck that really helped but also drove my diabetic sugar levels out of sight. I never took the 2nd or 3rd shot that had been planned and since I have been doing a lot of outside yard work, that may be the problem...aggravation of that condition. By the way, the original symptom occurred in two of my fingers in my right hand one morning while I was shaving with my electric razor. Those two fingers just suddenly went toally numb...scared me to death! Smile

Thanks, Pete. I'll take your advice.
Thanks for the advice, Pete. I use the VA Hospital here in Oklahoma City for most of my physical needs and they have a physical therapy department so I''m going to check into that. Thanks for the suggestion. For my original numbness that scared the heck out of me, I went to my long time GP Doc. He is the one that had me tested for Carpal Tunnel Sydrom (negative) and other problems. MRI finally revealed that pinched nerve between the 6th and 7th Vertebrate. Thanks again for you advice! Tingling in upper right arm
I too have very light tingling sensations on inner side of upper right arm. Not unpleasant, but feels strange. I''m diabetic, have just been stuck in Sri Lanka for 2 extra weeks due to "ash" and air travel. My husband died last September so generally it has been a pretty stressful time and perhaps this is the cause.
Sm interested that another comment said that injections shot his sugar levels to pieces.

hi jane
stress can up the sugar level and give you more symptoms. are you exercising to reduce stress. that would also help sugar. what does your dr say?

pigeonteeth
it sounds like a possible neck problem. i hope they refer you to spine specialist.

tingling right arm
its the vertebrae in your neck. you need to see a neurosurgeon and may need a fusion of the offending verebrae. quite a simple op, but they go in thru your throat, which is bizarre and will need a sturdy neckbrace for a few months then a lighter one for maybe 4 - 6 weeks. hope this helps.

Yes! Have an MRI done - I feel over 5 years ago and went to PT at the time for bursitis in my shoulder. Years later I was having a different pain, same area. Should doc said it wasn't my shoulder, but my neck. X-rays showed nothing, but the MRI showed three herniated disks in my vertebrae. I had no idea.

Tingling feeling
Hi, I started to having some tingling in my right side, used to come on my right cheek and goes all the way to my right leg, it used to be at its peak two years ago and then it started to lessen, I made all kinds of test for carpel tunnel syndrome, MRI for my neck and head, blood tests, all sort of medical tests, the results showed that i have a herniated disk, which i thought that would be the main reason, so i start undergoing physical therapy and massages, it felt a little bit better but was still not convinced that this was the main reason behind this tingling. I recently visited a neurologist and I think he spot it. His diagnosis was purely stress that caused some discomfort in the nervous system, so anything that affects negatively on your nervous system has to do with this tingling annoying feeling. From my experience with this tingling for more than two years so far, I was absolutely content with his answer as it used to come and go or increase and decrease according to the stress level I was passing through, if u r more interested to hear about my experience and the way i dealt with it to make less and less annoying, let me know....

Yes,I also feels so.stress and strain or depression may cause tingling on hands or even in tounge(burning sensation).I have tingling on my right shoulders down to my arms and burning sensation in my tounge for about 2 months now.I recently visited a neurologist and I think he confirmed it.when took some anti-depressent for 2 weeks burning sensation in tounge desapears now very rarely.
But the tingling feeling to the right arm and somtimes on leg is still there and doctor said it may be becuase of herniated disks in my vertebrae or cervical spondilylosis snd sugested to do some excercise

I would like to know more about the relation with Stress and tingling which Antoine mentioned here.
Thanks in advance!

Hi, did they ever do any tests to see if you had had a stroke or TIA? I've been having that same tingling lately from the right cheek down to my foot. Everybody says to go to the ER! Debbie
