Q: Question About Miscarriage

My best was spotting and went to see the doctor, and booked the earliest appointment. What I didnt know is that she saw a nurse, not her doc, and her nurse said she'd be fine that it was just light spotting. A few days later--bam--miscarriage. Her cousin thinks its mal-practice and she can sue...My question is, would she be able to sue on mal-practice?

I think so. I mean she didnt see a doc, but nurses have malpractice insurance too. Have her call an attorney and see what they say.

Okay...I got some more information that might help: the nurse told her that he was the doc.

Ooh, yeah, someone is getting in trouble! I mean, if it was just a misdiagnosis, ok, malpractice will still cover that. But, if the nurse should have referred her to a doctor and didn't, that is major malpractice, and if he lied about being a doctor? Well, he can be sued for many different things there!
I'm sorry your friend had to go through this. That really sucks, but good luck.
