I am hoping someone has experienced this
before & can give me some insight to
what it might be. The tip off my right
thumb will get hard, numb, then peel away
layers of skin (painful at times), and
within weeks, regenerate all new skin,
just to go through the same process again
weeks later. No other digits have ever
been effected. I am not diabetic, nor do
I have any other chronic diseases or skin
disorders. Anyone ever experience
anything like this before?

Do you have any symptoms of red spots
under the skin before this happens?
Or have you found a cure ?
I appear to have the same condition.

hm. I
have the same condition, only it just gets
better it hasn't ever gone completely
away. Mine is on the fingertip of my right
thumb and on the inside of my left thumb
and index finger. They can get sore, but
especially the one on my right thumb tip.
My dermatologist says it is dermatitis and
he gave me some cream that helps it. I
don't think that it is dermatitis though
I'm trying to figure out what it actually
is.

sounds like dishidrosis, u get small
painless fluid filled blisters under the
skin that then dry and cause the skin to
peel away, its a normal type of eczema
doctors can give u a cream that helps, and
try to keep your hands dry, that helps a
lot too
