I have an iud. My boyfriend and I have unprotected sex. I have already had a child. I "feel" pregnant. I also know that with an iud there is a good chance of having a tubal pregnancy. My last two cycles have not been normal, they have been really light, but the normal amount of days. I have been experiencing heart burn for about six weeks now, and the only other time that I had it was when I was pregnant. My abdomen is also beginning to swell. My period stopped on november the 2nd. Starting the 4th, I have been having urges to push. When I do, blood comes out. I took a pregnancy test today and it was negative. Could I be pregnant? Would a tubal show up on a home test?

Hi belly, I really don't think a tubal pregnancy would show up on a pregnancy test as the placenta among other things would not be developing properly, therefore you are probably not producing the hcg hormone or enough of it to show on a test. Are you in any pain ? There is pain with a tubal pregnancy. The fact that you are having the urge to push and blood appears when you do, I really feel you should see a doctor immediately, or go to the hospital.

Best of luck, I hope everything goes well.

Am I?
Yes it will show up on a test if you a pregnant, because the hormones that change when you are pregnant still react if it is a tubal or not. Yes there is alot of pain with a tubal. Sometimes the baby will move out of the tube but sometimes it will not. It is very important to get checked. I had a tubal 3 years ago. It was very painful and I was bleeding for 2 weeks before anything happend. Take care of yoursellf and go get checked. You have another child at home to think about too. Take care. Wink

Suzy,
thanks for the reply. :d I do not have insurance and I cannot afford to go to the doctor. I do not want my boyfriend to be aware of the possible situation until I know what is going on, there is no need in worrying both of us. I did call the health dept., which is who put it in in the first place and they said that a tubal would show up on a test and I would miss my cycle. I have talked to other people who have either had a tubal or personally knows someone who has one. They all said that the person never missed their cycle and they never knew they was pregnant. The health dept. Wants me to go in monday, but I cannot explain to my boss what is going on. I am really scared because I know that this could kill me, but I do not know what to do. I do not trust our health dept., can not afford a doctor, and do not want anyone to know yet. What other options do I have? Crying or Very sad Question
