| ok first of all, where did you get your facts on meat? Meat does not cause homosexuality in men nor does it make women more masculine. I have been eating meat for a long time and I still look like a woman. No extra hair on my body and I haven't grown a penis yet!!!!!
I have to say that this is the funniest thing I have read in a long time! Second, meat protions should be limited to a serving size of about 3-4 ounces..............About the size of a deck of cards, and only about 2-3 servings a day (that is if he is a big guy). |

| i'm not questioning the cancer part of your post. But I am challenging the making women more masculine part. I'm not really sure where the information came from, but I can assure you that there are a lot of non-masculine meat eating women in this world.
It really doesn't make any sense. I'm not questioning you but I am questioning your source. There is a lot of false information on the www. We need to be careful what we believe. |

| that is so untrue. According to the pyramid a person should consume 2-3 servings of meat (or 2-4 not sure which one, but it is one of the two) and each serving should be the size of your palm.
If meat causes all of the above things you mentioned then it would be recommended that no one eat any meat at all. Homosexuality in males, that is the craziest thing I have ever heard. Masculinity in females? Whatever. I don't know where you go that "information" but I wouldn't go there ever again. Your father is overeating period. No one should ever sit down and eat two platefulls of anything. His fat around the midsection is putting him at risk of all kinds of health problems. I wouldn't worry so much about the meat, but would start worrying about the excess weight and the eating too much food in general. |

| read your first post before you start trying to insult me.
It says, "meat causes...." and then you list all of that nonsense. It does not say, "eating too much meat causes...." so, if you don't mind, please pay attention before telling us we are wrong. Thanks for you reply. |

| i'm being immature? Why is that exactly? Because I simply stated that you didn't say those things were caused by eating too much meat, but simply by eating meat? Why are you getting so defensive? You need to calm down there buddy. Trust me, no one is "concerned" about your post but you. |

| how much meat should a person consume on an average day?..What are some side effects if an excessive amount is taken?..
My dad is a big man, I mean he doesn't weigh too much weight wise..But he has a noticebly big stomach..The thing is he loves to eat. I mean you won't see him filling up on junk food..But his meals are huge, especially for supper..The thing that bothers me the most is his excessive meat intake..Like when we're having steak, he would have his on one of the large plates..And the rest of his meal (vegetable,potatoes..Etc) on another..I'm afraid this will eventually lead to problems with his health..I've tried convincing him but he only gets angry, scaring him by listing diseases..Nothing works..What should I do?.. Here are some facts for some of you meat-lovers out there: meat causes - rheumatism, arthritis and gout (uric acid buildup) meat causes - cancer - (liver & kidney breakdown from too much protein) meat causes - homosexuality in males. (excessive testosterone over several generations) (meat causes masculine homosexual) meat causes - masculinity in women - hair on their arms and legs, deeper voice. Destroys their true feminists and makes them bossy and stubborn. Many women from the back look like boys. Meat causes - high blood pressure breaks down the blood vessel's. Meat causes - heart problems meat causes colitis - meat contains ……. Factitive bacteria meat causes excessive uric acid which leads to arthritis, kidney stones gallstones. Meat causes headaches & far-sightedness, meat together with excess sugar and too much close work cause nearsightedness. |

where in the world did you get this malarke? I don't believe that you have even one actual fact within your diagnosis of disease from meat consumption. Next to soy protien, meat is the only way that you can get all of the amino acids necessary for muscle growth and healing. Meat provides an excellent source of iron and in specfic pork provides a fantastic supply of multiple b vitamins, not all of the b's but thiamin and folate are provided by pork. If your father is eating an entire plate full of meat, he is putting himself at risk for heart problems due to the amount of ldl cholesteral contained in many red meats. Hotasfrick and nutrigirl2775 have done a fantastic job of debunking your post but I do feel it needs just a few more facts to make it look even worse! Without the use of meat as a source of protein, you would need to make sure to have a diet rich with soy-based products and increase your daily intake of vegetables and nuts/legumes to more than 2x's the daily recommended amount because of the lack of pure proteins and also the vitamins and minerals provided by eating senseable portions of meat. Senseable = 3 to 5 ounces of meat 2 to 3 times a day. Meat = beef, pork, chicken, and fish. Fish is really great because of the omega 3 fatty acids.....(also not tied to homosexuality) im sorry but I cannot even go on in this thread because I don't know if you will ever understand what is being told to you. That is truly the most amazing of all nutrition posts I have ever seen. |

| why don't you just stop being insulting and realize that you posted it incorrectly in the first place?
You said, that consuming meat causes, blah blah. You did not say that consuming too much meat causes, blah blah. Just accept that for goodness sakes. Should I have just known what you meant? I'm not psychic now. |

| i don't think I can find any links tying meat to homosexuality/masculinty since it is not in any way tied to any research that any compotent research company/facility would embark in.
As a college student, I just completed nutrition 220 at the university of phoenix and so it is easy for me to provide more then adequate information with regard to the nutritional value in meat consumption. However, finding anything to substantiate your ties of meat to sexuality would be totaly impossible. You are right when you say that eating certian meats can but are not guarenteed to increase the risk of heart disease and other forms of cancer. On the other hand, it is far more likly that you will get ill from not eating meat or soy to provide your system with the protiens necessary for healthy blood production and muscle healing and growth. This debate is so rediculous because I have no way to substantiate most of your points but all of mine can be verified on www.Fda.Gov www.Usda.Gov |
