Q: Yasmin Experiences?

Has anyone experienced excessive vaginal dryness with yasmin? I've been taking it for two months and sex has become more and more painful. I know that estrogen is responsible for maintaining the vaginal lining - does yasmin have a lower estrogen content than most? Also I think I am getting a relapse of a urinary infection but I can't really tell - my first one was so painful it was apparent what the problem was. Ahaha, maybe it is a yeast infection. Do either of those things cause vaginal dryness? Sheesh, I don't want to go the doctor again...I spend way too much time there. I'd hate to give up yasmin - it is the only bcp that doesn't make me cry all the time - but if anyone else has had these experiences with yasmin I suppose I should try another kind.

I Have Been On Yasmin For a Few Months Now.
Lately I started to feel really tired all the time, I called my obgyn and he said that it might be pill related. So im gonna take some time off.

Yasmin Works For Me
I have experienced some vaginal dryness, and having sex during this might account for you thinking you have a uti, if before sex you use a lubricant this should stop. It takes a while before the swelling and redness of the dryness dies down- but this definetly helps.

Yasmin seems to be the best birth control on the market, so I suggest you try everything you can before stopping it or switching to a different pill.

Yasmin + Vaginal Dryness
Embarassed I also have currently experienced vaginal dryness with Yasmin. I have taken the pill for only eight days, and I'm so scared with reading all these blogs about the adverse side effects. I tried the Nuva Ring, and it gave me a severe yeast infection and set me on an emotional roll a coaster within in two days of taking it. I read about how to help yourself with vaginal dryness, but it is things like drink more water, eat a healthy diet, and try a personal lubricate in the mean time. I'm 28, weigh around 120, eat a very healthy diet, and work out. I feel great about myself and am very attracted to my 6 feet 2 inch oh soooo hot husband. Yasmin seems so great, but I can't have this dryness thing killing my sex life. I started taking it to get away from the restrictiveness of condoms.

Yazmin
I have been on Yazmin for at least 5 years. I have PCOS and I am 37 years old. I was put on it after I gave brith to my daughter. Only bad side effects I have experienced are low sex drive, mild moodiness and headaches during the sugar pills week. I have had No acne, no excess hairgrowth, no weightgain and no breakthrough bleeding. I am stressing cuase my OBGYN wants to take me off of it and put me on something new!!! I dont want to switch!

vaginal dryness kills sex drive
I was on yasmin for 2 months and I experienced vaginal dryness too! I started bleeding during sex, and planned parenthood proposed I had a yeast infection. Well after a week of treatment, i still had very painful sex so I went to my regular gyno and she said it's probably yasmin. I'm starting low-ogestrel tomorrow so I'll see how that compares. Good luck!
