Does anyone have any other information on what might cause an infant to have elevated liver enzymes? I have a 6-week-old who had bloodwork done because of having rapid breathing, along with a few other symptoms, and the test came back showing she had elevated liver enzymes. We have to go back for more bloodwork in two days, but i'm pretty anxious now.

Elevated Enzymes In Infant
You may want a doctor to check the serum ferritin levels and if they are elevated, do a hemochromatosis dna mutant test. This is a genetic disease that causes damage to the liver and many other problems, and those with european ancestry - especially irish, french and german have a very high risk of this disease, if it is caught early it is very treatable through phlebotomy.
