When my mother eats any shellfish the next
day her ears get blood red swells up .
She gets a large bump behind her ear, the
side of her faceget red, swells and hard
and it hurts to touch it. Within 2 to3
days in moves across her eyes and
forehead. She doesn't seem to be able
to get anyone who can tell her what to or
what she call take for it. She gets
allergy shots every other week. Is there
another kind of doctor she could go see
that may specialize in this kind of
reaction. She gets get chills and an
upset stomach the first two daysi t
starts. She is almost 80. She is
active and likes to work in her garden and
this keeps her down for about 4 to 6 days.

I would say her best bet is just simply to
stay away from all shellfish. There is
no medicine to take to prevent food
allergies.
