I know exactly how you feel! It took me 4 years to get pregnant. But don't worry you have only been trying to conceive for 3-4 months. Doctors say the most couples will get pregnant within a year of trying. After that, and only after that is there really need to worry or start trying fertility drugs. The best thing to do, is to know your cycle like the back of your hand. Which means recording your basal body temps every day! Checking your cervical mucus and also the position of your cervix. Fertility friend is a very useful tool to get you started. And also you can get lots of helpful info from others in the same situations. I tried forever and once I started temping I got pregnant in like 3 months! My friend also tried using it and got pregnant after 4 months! I hope this helps and don't worry I know you don't think this but 3 months of not getting a negative isn't a real big deal it doesn't mean there is a problem with either of you it may just mean your having bad timing with the intercourse. Hey don't worry, I was off pill and trying for a year and a half Dr. Told me I had polycistic ovaries and would need help or may not get preg at all. That was in nov 2002 march 2003 I found out I was preg with no help. It really is true what they say. Once you stop thinking about it so much it happens, I know it's hard believe me. I've been trying again for like four months and nothing. I worry that I won't get preg again and I was just lucky the first time. But i'm just going to have fun with it and see what happens try to do the same. Don't waste money on tests let it just happen and when you feel like it might be after missed period then test, because there is nothing more frustraiting then spending 10-20 dollars on tests and its negative.
