Q: Nuvaring Question

Hey. Wondering if anyone knows the answer to this question. I've tried to do some net searching but couldn't really find this specific answer.

I reinserted my nuvaring about 8 hours late today and I was wondering if anyone knows how critical it is that it is reinserted at the same time. In other words, what is the window of protection?
I could probably assume that the answer is to use back up if in doubt but if anyone knows for certain that there is a wider margin of error, it would be nice to not have to worry about going to get condoms.

Also, I guess a few hours makes less of a difference when taking it out, so should I just go back to my old schedule when I take it out in 3 weeks?

Thanks for your help.
