Hi, I was wondering if someone could help me who's been through this before. A few years ago, I stopped eating for about six months, and then when I started eating again, I started to "get rid of" the food too. I've been bulimic for about 2 years now, and recently it's gotten really bad. At first, I did it because of extreme stress I have, and to numb any emotions I have because I don't like it when people know what I am feeling. But now I can't stop. I've been "getting rid of" anything I eat almost every day for about 7 months now. I have friends that know, and i'm going 2 a psychologist because my parents know, but I still don't really have anyone who's actually been through it. My friends think i've lost weight, but I don't see it. My throat burns and I get dizzy all the time now. I had to go to the nurse and leave school early yesterday because I almost passed out when I was running in gym, which is weird because i'm an athlete. I dance, do gymnastics, and do track so i'm also really scared that if I talk to my doctor she'll make me stop one of them :( I feel like my whole life is falling apart from this. Please help me?

I'm surprised you do this to yourself if your atheletic as most people with e.D's wish to lose weight and the best way to lose weight is to eat healthy adn excersise.

Its hard to stop but it is possible.

How do you feel before you throw up? Why? How do you feel afterwards?

The reason your throat burns is because your throat and stomach is being destroyed by the acids from your stomach, with the extremity of your case your gunna burn out your innards and wont be able to throw up, eat or breathe.

A bad sign is if you choke when throwing up, thats how must bullemics die. Choking as the throw up, or from the shock of having an acid reflux when throwing up.

When I stopped, it was gradual, I found if I was ta friends house, or had a friend over, under there watch I didn't do it. It's a mental thing and a behavioural thing to, its your attiude to it.

You will have lsot weight if your throwing up and excersising.

You'll be feeling dizzy due to acid movements in your stomach from exercise and the fact that when you purge/don't eat healthy then you screw up the vits/nutrients your body needs.

Chances are the doc wont want you to stop doing dancing etc but may be worried it may become an addiction, thats not good.

You've gotta take control, its hard. Self control is what you need. You've gotta force yourself to not stick those fingers down your throat. Keep at it )trying to stop) and the first time you stop yourself from throwing up you will feel excellent, from then on it gets better.
