Q: Missed Patch

I've been using the birth control patch for about a year now. I'm in college and didn't have a chance to reorder the patches from home and ran out. I was susposed to put it on on friday but didn't get them until tuesday. I put it on that night but on friday it fell off again. I put a new one on since that was my normal patch change day and left it on till the next friday and then put the third one on. My boyfriend and I used condoms until the third week because it said in the directions to use backup for one week. I'm a day or so late for my period and I was wonder if it was because I messed up the patches for the month or if I could be pregnat.

It's more likely because you messed up the patches.. Since you didn't have the continuous hormones, especially since you were on it a whole week before you stopped using the condoms.
