Q: Question Concerning Kidneys And Back Pain

I was at the doctor and he thinks I have kidney stones from the symptoms. I had severe back pain the other day, I couldn't even move. I thought my lower back was going out on me. The same time I had the chills and felt a little nauseated.
The next day they checked my urine and found blood and protein in it, and referred me to a specialist. He took an xray hoping to find a kidney stone on it, but nothing had showed up. Now, i'm scheduled for a ct scan.
Has anyone here been through these symptoms? If so, what did they find out?

Back Pain, Blood And Protein
Your doctor knows what he's doing,,that in itself is a relief. What youve experienced does indeed sound like a stone,,buttttttttttttt...........Heres teh deal.

Ct scans wont show alot of things.....Due to variances,,,hidden fold of skin, tissue etc.....He needs to check for crystals using an iv drip for stones.

Keep this in mind please! Protein, blood, and pain.............Is indicative of pre existing, progressive incurable kidney disease.....So it is of the utmost importance that in lets say,,,,3 weeks you are rechecked and no blood is found,,and protein level is lowered. If not,,,,you need referral to nephrologist.

Good luck,,been there/ done this!
