An eye exam is as crucial as any other exam! The opt. Doctor checks for all kinds of eye diseases (glaucoma, cataracts, etc). Its better to catch something earlier on, then to find out years later and you've started loosing your eyesight. I go every two years. I've learned as you age, your eyes change! Have gone from near sighted to far sighted in 4 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a difference a pair of glasses can make!!!!!!!! Hope this helps!

Extremely eHealthy
You need to get one to see how bad/good your eyesight is. If you dont, you might have something wrong with your eyesight and you dont know because you dont go. It is very important you go.

Eye Exams
Once a person reaches the age of 40, he or she should get their eyes examined once a year (not once in two years). Glaucoma tests are usually administered once a year because the older you get, the more chance you will develop this disease. I've had vision trouble all my life so i've generally gone every single year. My daughter, however, has better than 20-20 vision and she's under 40 so she only goes once every few years.
