I've been prescribed othotricyclen-lo for my acne. My doctor asked me when I would begin my period and I said that it should be any day now. This was about a week and a half ago. She wanted me to be a sunday starter, but I still haven't started my period and I really want to start the pills! I skip my period every couple of months (i'm still not completely regular and i'm sure the pills will help out with this as well), but I don't want to wait another full month to begin! Will it be okay to go ahead and begin them since I should be having my period right now, or do I really have to wait for it to come?

My advice would be wait until your period comes. The pills work with your cycle so starting during the middle you don't know exactly where in your cycle you are. I would wait until you start your period.
