Q: See a Dr Or Hold Off?

Last month I had sex during a time when my birth control wasn't consistent. Since then i've been feeling sick w. Nausea, dizziness, headaches, sinus congestion, backaches, hot flashes, and elevated temps for a few weeks. I took a hpt and it came back negative- I took another one a week and a half later and it was negative also. I finally started my period after being a week late but its extremely light- which is unusual bc I started birthcontrol bc of my intense periods- and I barely need anything and if I do its just a pantyliner.... Since my hpts are negative and I have my period does this mean I am just sick/something else is wrong- or should I still pursue a doctor with the pregnancy thought or just wait it out and see how I am in a few days since none of my symptoms really make sense?
-thanks, I really appreciate it! :)

Sounds like you have that nasty cold that went around. If you are used to heavy flows and now having lite flow, you might want to see a doctor. If it's nothing then you've wasted your time, but always better safe than sorry if you are concerned that something is wrong. You know your body better than anyone. Do what your gut tells you to do.
