Q: Accutane And Pregnancy

I'm scared I could be pregnant because i'm on accutane, an acne medication that you can not become pregnant on. But they only tell you not to become pregnant, and if you do, the only option is an immediate abortion. I don't want to get my parents involved if i'm really not though.

Are there anyone who has more knowledge about accutane and pregnancy? Also, are there any nurses or doctors that post here? ~ lindsey

You should find out asap. I took accutane before. You should find out. If you are 8 days late you should test bc it'll show up. Good luck!

Im not 8 days late. Its now been 11 days since I might have become pregnant. My period always starts on random days, this month im guessing anywhere from the 16 to the 24. Is it too early to get a test?

I have heard about how you should never become pregnant will taking accutane and how it can cause birth defects I dont really know much about it but I know that my friend took it and the doctor but her on birth control while she was using it. Take a pregnancy test and if it comes up negative and you dont start in a week or so take another or go to the doc.!
