I have keratosis pilaris too and it's
pretty annoying! I've read that kp can
itch, but mine rarely do. Here's another
site about kp that has a discussion forum
and recommended products to treat it as
well.. Www.Helpforkp.Com

Little Red Bumps Posted: 04-04-06 21:48pm
I'm 17 and about a week ago my legs began
to itch like crazy and I noticed these
bumps on the back of my leg. At the time
there were only a few, but now there are
hundreds of them on my legs and thighs,
and now there are a few on my arm. They
itch like crazy and I can't seem to figure
out what they are or how to get them to
stop itching. The bumps are tiny and red,
they vary in size though, but none of them
are really big. Any suggestions?

Cure For Itchy Red Bumps!!!! Posted: 04-26-06 15:21pm
I just had the same thing! Came from
nowhere.
Little itchy red bumps that seem like bug
bites and are everywhere. I itched some
so much I started getting eczema.
I looked a month back in my life and
thought about what i'd changed in my
routine.
The answer was my exercise weights!
I'd just bought them a couple weeks
before. They were causing an allergic
reaction!
They were those heavy metal ones with the
gray coating on them.
I decided to stop using them and see what
would happen and a few days later the
problem started to go away. Now the
itchy red bumps are completely gone after
two and a half weeks.
You guys may not have weights but it could
be something else metal or with a
synthetic coating. Check out what's
changed in your life lately or what
touches your skin (even just your hands)
on a regular basis and hopefully you'll
find the culprit.
I wanted to tell everyone my
"diagnosis/cure" so I found this site and
registered.
Hope this helps you guys and you find
relief!!!

Itching Posted: 04-27-06 19:30pm
Hi:
i just finished reading your post, and I
just have one question . . . .
Do you eat a lot of diet soft drinks, and
use artifical sweetners?
If so, please do to www.Dorway.Com, or
google the word “vasculitis”.
i suffered with a lot the same problem for
3 years, before I found out (on my own,
after seeing 2 doctors) what my problem
is, and i'm still on the road to recovery.
The itchy started about 3 months after I
started taking a popular name brand
sweetener, and I couldn't figure out what
was going on. A lot of other problems
slowly surfaced. You'll be able to see
the symptoms on www.Dorway.Com, and
when you do, you"ll probably start putting
two and two, together.
Good luck!

Pityriasis Rosea Posted: 05-09-06 18:11pm
I currently have pityriasis rosea...
It started out as a 1.5-2 inch long oval,
on my upper armpit (right)... Looked like
a burn... This developed some whitish
scaling around the inner edges of the
oval, then across the entire patch. This
was the herald patch. Then, I started
developing bright red dots/welts across my
chest. Then under my chest and across my
torso, like a band above my waist... Then
down the inside of my arms, ending before
my wrists. And some on my waist and back.
Hopefully this is as bad as it will get.
I definitely look like I am polka-dotted
in red on white... Looks like a terrible
case of mosquito or spider bites.
It smarts and itches more when I am hot,
or sweat. Hydrocortisone cream helps
somewhat...
Before the secondary rash appeared, my
skin itched all over like crazy... Very
uncomfortable. And before the herald
patch appeared, I had a bad headache.
If this sounds like you, see your doctor.
And don't worry. It will go away
eventually (hopefully sooner, rather than
later)...

Itchy Red Bumps Posted: 05-12-06 18:51pm
I'm soooo glad to find out there are
people like me going trough this!!
Its started out about a week ago I had
all these little red bumps all over my
chest and for lack of better way to put ,
my boobs, and they were kind itchy ,but
then a few days later I found that they ad
spread down my belly and on my sides now
they and also on my iner tighs ,back and
some (but they arnt red) on my fore head.
None of them are really itchy and they
kinnda looked like bits, which really made
me worry thinking my bed might have
chigers or somthing on the matress.
I figered i'de check out the internet
before I went and payed a Dr. And then
found out that they where nothing and
would go away on there own. I've been
putting some cream on them that I used
when I had a rash on my neck which has
made them stop itching completly.
I read in one of the post that this sorta
thing happens in april-may? Thats good.
Plus i"m alergic to dust and polen so I
thought it might have something to do with
that and I have sensative skin. So lets
see if it lasts a mounth then I have about
3 and 1/2 weeks to go. I can't wait till
its over its so embarising! (sp?)
thanks for all your help everyone!!

Itchy Red Spots Everywhere Except the Face Posted: 05-16-06 16:36pm
You may have found out what you have by
now, but I have a similar condition with
itchy red spots first appearing on my
inner arms and armpits and then spreading
over the rest of my body except for my
face. I went to the doctor and he
immediately diagnosed it as scarlet fever.
He explained it to me and showed me
pictures it was exactly what I had. It
comes from some strep throat bacteria. I
thought this was weird because my throat
didn't hurt, but he did a strep throat
test and it came up positive. They
usually cure this with penicillin, but i'm
allergic to it so he gave me an ethromycin
antibiotic and it is starting to clear up.
The rash is only on my arms now and
disappearing and i've only been on the
medicine for 2 days. If you go to
netdoctor.Co.Uk and search for scarlet
fever you can see the symptoms of it
(remember you don't have to experience all
of them to have it, I never even had a
fever). Hope this helps someone

Help! Posted: 05-17-06 08:53am
This just started a few days ago, I first
noticed that my inner thighs were itching
like crazy, then I noticed that there were
a few bumps maybe only 2 or 3-but they
itched so bad that I now have bruises on
my inner thighs. Then it spread to my
outer thighs and the same thing happened
and I got bruises from scratching. I do
bruise easily but not usually like this.
Well now my sides, chest, and wrist itch
but there is only one or two bumps in each
spot. I do not think I have anything that
was mentioned before but I could be wrong.
These bumps go down after I use some
calagel but they come back up when it
starts itching again. Can anyone help me?
I haven't changed laundry soap or bath
products and haven't changed my eating
habits so I do not know what this could
be.

I am no dr but their are a lot of times
that this can happen if you change to
certain soaps or certain laundry
detergents as I too have had this problem
and figured it out myself and I also have
gotten poison oak a few times but as they
say if ever in doubt go get it checked out
as it could be something more serious.
The best to you!

Bug Bites? Posted: 06-05-06 23:47pm
I have been getting some kind of bites for
a few years now, I didn't care at first
because they were just one or two of them.
In the recent years I have been getthing
atleast 2 bites every 2 months, and I
think its bed bug but im not really sure.
The bites are swollen, red and they itch,
also its got a small blister looking thing
on the tip of the swollen area. Can
anyone help me? I have been using some
hydrocortisone creme like cortizone 10,
but it still leaves a brownish scar, and
they last for months. Does anyone know
what it is and what product to use to
clear it?

Guys, if it's something that just appeared
out of nowhere it's probably an allergic
reaction to something.
Is there anything different (past three
weeks) that your hands or body is now in
contact with??? Find out and hopefully
you'll find the problem.
I had this problem a while back, thought
it was bug bites because they'd seem to
just appear out of the blue. I'd wake up
with two more or so every morning.
They were gone in two weeks when I found
out it was my weights that i'd just
bought. The metal coating was the
culprit.
Again, hope this helps.

Re: Itchy Red Bumps Posted: 06-13-06 08:50am
I have had the exact same thing twice now.
Starts out on my hands as little tiny
bumps, not necessarily red, then I notice
it starting all over my legs and feet,
very red and itchy at this point, and
eventually spreads to everywhere except my
face.. I thought it was strange that the
rash discriminated against the face.
Thank god for that though!!! It is very
extremely uncomfortable, as it seems to
attack my feet, and they become covered in
red bump/hives on the soles of my feet and
in between my toes, to the point where my
feet are so swolen that I can not walk.
The second worst spot is underneath my
breasts. These little bumps just love
it in there!!! My doctor has prescribed
a medrol dose pack. It's a chortizonal
(spelling) treatment. Last time it took
two medrol dose packs and about two weeks
for everything to go away. It's a
horrible thing to go through.

Yeah similar or exactly similar with
everyone here, i've been noticing these
little red bumps thingies everywhere on my
body, except the face. It's really itchy
for some reason, and although many people
have said that it is usual to be having
them appear on you during april or may; it
is now late of june that i've been getting
them. Is this a different illness or
something to everyone else? I thought of
maybe it was from swimming in chlorine
pool that my skin had gotten allergic to,
but then I also thought maybe if my skin
has been too dry. The spots appear under
my armpits, thighs, legs, arms, and the
whole body. First I start to itch and
then as I scratch-they appear. Can
someone give me answers about this please?

Re: In Ned of Answers Posted: 06-29-06 08:41am
I would suggest asking your docotr for a
medrol dose pack. These are
cortico-steroid pills and whenever I get
this horrifyingly uncomfortable rash all
over my body, those pills usually take
care of it pretty quickly. This has only
happened to me twice, and the doctor has
no idea exactly what could be causing
it... I believe it is some sort of
alergic reaction to something.....
Never try to wait it out hoping they will
go away because they won't!! At the
first sign of getting these bumps, get the
medrol dose pack and hope that the pills
keep it from getting any worse.

After reading all the posts in this
thread, I realized everyone has someting
similar to me, but different problems. I
have little red bumps everywhere. I'm 17
and I think i've had them my whole life.
Usually they aren't too bad, but this year
and last year they have been the worst.
They are about the size of a pin head and
only appear where I have hair follicles.
I have none on my face and for the most
part they are just where I wear closes.
Sometime I get them on my legs but they
usually go away quick. I seem to get
them the worst around my armpits, lower
back and chest. I've been to the doctor
and he doesn't know what it is.

Wow. I Thought I Was Bad. Posted: 08-30-06 12:07pm
So im a hypochondriac and overreact to
everything, but I do have itchy symptoms
on my upper back, chest, underarms,
thighs, groin and butt. I have very
small (pin sized) red dots but they are
scattered. Then there are a few large
red bumps on my butt and at the crease of
my breast (im a large male and do have
breasts...) I also had flaky skin on my
chest but that is getting better now
in some places it itches and theres
nothing. The itching is more noticeable
when I put on clothing, and feels like
chaffing. It kind of hurts to sit down
and its more noticeable after sitting for
long periods of time (i work on a computer
all day so im sitting all the time). I
have acne so at first I thought it was
this, but now I cant be sure.
I am going to the doctor on friday and I
will tell you all what he said. However
my problem seems to be most like the
person who said their roommate had the
same thing... Could this be from a
detergent im using? Or something in my
washer? It happened shortly after I wore
new clothes without washing... Actually
clean clothes itch as well and the itching
goes away as I wear the clothes more...
Does this make any sense?

have the rash in mostly 'warmer' places

me and my husband and my 15year old

wouldnt say it was scabies it is something
else and it must be air bourne or in the
water for so many people to have it.
