I don't know what those are sorry. But I wanted to add that douching at all can cause infections. Not just douching regularly. Doctors say not to do it all because it strips the vagina of its natural cleansers and leaves you more prone to infection, etc.
I would try looking up those suppositories on yahoo and see what kind of info pops up. Sorry I couldn't help more!

I hope norforms suppositories are safe. I started using them only two months ago, and they are a godsend! I had suffered from embarrassing vaginal odor for years, and it had worsened when I entered menopause. It was so frustrating because I have very clean hygiene, but the offensive smell persisted. My gyno always told me to use a "mild cleanser" daily, so I tried many different brands, but none of them worked to alleviate the problem. I finally decided to give norforms a try, and after the very first suppository the odor was completely gone, literally overnight! I was ecstatic and feel like a new person with more confidence, especially with the warmer weather coming when I can't hide behind layers of clothing. I'd be absolutely crushed if they aren't a good product to use :(

ur vaginal oder
If u were douching regularly tht was probably the reason u had the oder because when u douch too frequently u get a bacterial infection called BACTERIA VAGINOSIS...U MIGHT want to look it up they have kits at walmart tht cure them but this could have been the problem all along

I have been using norforms for over 20 yrs and have never had a problem with them. My son ate one once so I called poison control and they said it is only a soap like ingredient that is not harmful so I am sure they are safe for anyone.

I am looking to use these as well...As far as the 17 year old worried about how far to stick them up and if they are safe. If you have ever used a tampon, I don't think ti would be much of a difference except that these are much smaller. Your vagina has a cervix, thus there is only so far you can stick anything up your vagina! Also things like norforms and tampons do not break your hymen, I used my first tampon at 13, and my hymen was intact until I lost my virginity.

Ladies, stop using Norforms
Norforms are nothing but deodorant suppositories, born out of the belief that our vaginas are dirty and smelly and that they need to smell like fresh flowers at all times, which is just wrong.

Diet, lack of proper rest and exercise, and the changes in a woman's cycle all affect the pH and scent of the vagina, but Norforms and other products (like FDS spray) leave you prone to bacterial vaginosis, which is what it sounds like you're all experiencing forms of.

Watery strong-scented discharge? Yeah, that's BV.

Treat the problem internally. Probiotics usually help, as does Oil of Oregano.

Try the Jarrow Pharmaceuticals Enhanced Probiotic System, or Wellness brand Oil of Oregano. Both of these are available at Whole Foods or any health food store, and they offer natural long term solutions to this problem.

Norforms is just deodorant, and any doctor worth her salt will tell you that they're in the same category as douches, ie, NOT TO BE USED.

For the treatment of BV using oil of oregano, take a dropper full in the morning and a dropper full at night before you go to bed for three days and you should be back to normal, NATURALLY, and without covering it up with some deodorant, which is what Norforms are.

Oil of Oregano is extremely strong--strong enough to make you shiver--but lean your head all the way back, drop the oil in your mouth, and swallow it quickly. You'll have the breath of a 100 pizzas, but you chase it with some water and you should be OK. It works for colds, too, as it clears mucus and is a natural antifungal.

For the probiotics, use as directed on the box for about a week and you should see a decrease if not total cessation of the discharge.

You have nothing to lose.

Norforms IS an anti-infective!!
The post above is not true - norforms are catagorized by the American Hospital Formulary System as "anti-infectives" because of the active ingredient, which is Benzethonium Chloride. It is an anti-infective, not just a deodorant. That's why they work so well. They must not be a big money maker for the company that makes them, because they are not marketed very well. I think they are awesome! I wish I could find the unscented ones because I think the perfume probably doesn't do anything but irritate!

Norforms use for birth control
In 1959 I visited a doctor before getting married, and he told me to use Norforms as birth control. Just insert one before having sex. They worked! My husband and I had our first child two years and three days after our wedding.

Love your vagina!
People, vaginas have a smell. It's okay. It's a good smell, really! People who are into women like the way vaginas smell. So Marilynn and everyone else, see a doctor if your vagina smells different than usual, but if it smells like it usually does, leave it alone! Vaginas are self-cleaning, they don't need any help.

norforms
I suffered for years with an odor that was NOT BV or YEAST or any other STD. I have been to the GYN countless times and told, NO infection- I even went to a specialist that people travel from all over to see and he told me that after multiple pregnancies, in my case the cervix leaks vaginal secretions, and there was nothing I could do except wash with antibacterial soap, cotton panties, no douching, etc etc, most of you with this issue, you know the drill. Well one day after using norforms the odor is GONE!!! I love these and wont give them up. I used to skip socializing, parties, events etc. because of the way I smell. Try one box and see for yourself. IF you have not seen a doctor PLEASE DO SO, because you may have some sort of infection.

I used Norforms in my late twenties. I never had a problem, just wanted to do something beside douching. I was told that douching would cause bacteria and infection to be deposited into my upper vaginal area. I used it and within two days, I had active genital warts, which have continued throughout my lifetime. I am now 66 years of age and continue to suffer with condyloma, genital warts. I NEVER had this condition until I used Norform......only one time. What could have happened to me?

The virus that causes genital warts could not be transmitted from a suppository to a vagina. The virus is very sensitive, it can hardly survive even being washed, and needs direct skin-to-skin contact from an infected person in order to get transmitted. The lady above would've already HAD the virus on her mucous membrane, and perhaps a chemical in the suppository triggered it? But even that doesn't make sense... as it typically takes 2-3 months after an HPV infection for a wart to form. Something doesn't jive with the above post.

Like the lady above I just started using Norforms today and immediately I noticed a pleasant smell from my vagina, but I am experiencing leakage. It says that they are safe to use everday, but will I have this leaking all the time?? I just want to also say that I'm son glad that I found this product because it has worked wonders for me!!! They are wonderful. I just started to have this very unpleasant odor coming from down there so I told myself that I needed to go to the doctor, but fortunately I found these, plus I didn't want to be on antibiotics again. This product is great!
