Q: Brown Vaginal Disharge

Hi I am a teenager that is a virgin and has not got my period yet. My doctor says thats fine because I am light and I am a serious athlete. But today there was some brown vaginal disharge but really no other symptoms of a period that I no of. Is this the start of my period or someother problem possibly?
