cpap filling me with air
I have been having this problem but its not just my stomach its my whole digestive system. my concern is I must not be breathing when the air is going to my stomach I think instead of OSA my condition may be more CENTRAL does anyone else experience this.

Since 2005 when I posted this, much has changed. I am now on BiPap since my doctor felt this would help rather that CPAP. I think it has. I also had surgery to open my nose better for breathing. They were able to lower the pressure on the machine which decreased the air. I still find air throughout my digestive system like you do. An antiacid in the mornings seems to help reduce the gas and decrease burping. It is much better on lower pressure. I've also found sleeping on my back is better. The doctor said to try and keep my neck straight to avoid swallowing air. Sleeping on my side seems to let me curl up and my neck is not straight. More air goes in on my side.
