Im a 29 year old male who wears hard contacts.Six months ago my vision became blurry and I went to see my eye doctor. She told me that my cornea had changed shape due to my hard contacts. She told me that this is a common condition in hard contact lens wearers and she changed my prescription to accomidate my slight loss of vision. Now im worried about losing more of my vision. Can anyone help me with this?

My Eyes Are Fine
This is my response to my own post.I visited an opthimologist and he told me my eyes are perfectly ok.He also informed me that there is a surgical procedure which will improve my eyesight and I will no longer have to wear contacts! This was wonderful news to me.I was terribly worried about my vision loss but the doctor told me that its common for the cornea to change shape to acommidate the hard contact lens, which is much harder than the eye.I feel much better, and am going to have the surgery in the fall.Im hoping to have 20 20 vision someday.

I used to wear soft contacts and even then your cornea shape changes. (that is the only reason why you can't wear your contacts 2 weeks before the surgery, because they change the shape of your eye)

i had the surgery almost a year ago and i'm very pleased with the results. If you qualify for surgery, go for it. Best wishes.
