I was wondering, if you are uncomfortable with telling people you have ms (i am diagnosed possible ms) and you have a flare up where your hand doesnt work or your leg doesnt work (visible symptoms), what do you tell friends what is happening to you? As I said, assume you are uncomfortable admitting that you have a problem. What do you tell ppl?

Hard Question....
...It really depends exactly what your symptoms are. When I was first affected so that people could tell something was wrong I said that it was due to a bad back - applicable to almost anything other than sensory symptoms but also carrying it's own stigma for empolyers etc. Since then I have found it easier to be honest about it, luckily everyone has been very understanding but I can understand your concerns. What are your symptoms and why do you feel so worried?

Take care
