Dear everyone
I am a 22 yr old female and I have been on anticonvulsants for the past 18 months 3 months ago I was taken off my normal medication tegretol because it made me sic the tegretol cr 200 and I was put on keppra or ( levetriacetam ) I am currently on 750mg morning and night of this and last month my period came twice and this month I have skipped it all together. I am also on another medication called epilim or ( sodium valproate ) I take 2400mg of this daily as combination and I would just like other women or mens inputs if you have any knowledge of this fact happening to be caused by our medication.

Hi there. Does your doctor know about your cycle change? Would be a good idea to tell the neuro as well as your regular doc. Some have this issue. I have a friend on another seizure med that is having issues like that...

Re: Women & Meds
Dear sami

I am not too familiar with epilium but I do know that keppra is a good
medicine side affect and pregnancy wise. But two meds might be
overpowering your birthcontrol. You might ask for a stronger birthcontrol
pill.
