Alright, after trying to lose weight myself with little success, i've consulted a doctor and started a vitamin supplement bar diet, which ensures that I get all the needed vitamins/minerals from my food, and only intake 750 calories/day. All my life i've been a fairly strong person (in comparison with other people my age at least), and i'm worried that if I lose weight, i'll also be losing muscle, and i'd like to still be able to lift the same amount that I used to be able to. So I was wondering, would cardio excercise be such a good idea for me? As i've heard that this can actualy decrease muscle strength. If I want to be able to keep the same amount of muscle that I have at the moment, should I be training using heavier weights with less reps, or lighter weights with more reps? Currently i'm losing about 3lbs/week without any additional excercise, except taking stairs more often and getting off the bus a few stops early. Anyways, if anyone could help me out, it would be appreciated, I don't want to go from being able to bench 140 to only 120 or something.

No Problems
Accually when u lose fat u gain muscel and muscel is the key factor of losing weight. The more u have the faster the fat will burn away.As going for cardio . Thats more for ur lungs so you have a strong respetory system. More for runners who want to be able to run long distance and not get tired and worn out as fast. For the weight factor it depends. Id say stick to the small weights but to now how fast. It depends when u go slow ur building musles and I belive when u go fast it tones them. And watch out for ur muscel make sure when u weight ur self u also measure ur body fat. Because I was dicuraged to. When I was in areobic I was getting depressed because I gained 20 pounds in 3 months and couldnt figure out were it was going because im toned as it is . Then later I used the body fat measure ment and saw that I was acually losing body fat. Beacue muscel has more mass.I would highly recamend you to take aerobics if u want to expriment with different work outs because they show u different things and should tell u what ur doing does what. I took the class in school and I loved it . And 3 pounds a week thats good keep up the good work. I hope my knowlaged helps you and if it does please tell me because I want to become a personal trainer and ive been studing on it. So keep up the good work and hopefully my advise helps you. And o yeah sorry for the spelling mistakes
