Q: Belly Button Pain After Surgery

I had lap surgery to have my gallbladder removed on march 1st...Lately I have been feeling good but just yesterday my belly button started hurting like it did after I had the surgery. Sometimes it takes a minute to fully stand erect after sitting. The pain also is on the left side of my belly button area if your were to press there (very tender to the touch).

I go back to my Dr. For a follow-up on the 6th of april.

Has anyone else had this problem or know what could be causing this pain?

Thankyou

Hey, yea I had the same kind of pain about a month after surgery. It lasted about a week. I thought I was all healed and stuff but my belly button was hurting. It was probly from wearing my jeans which are kinda tight and irritating to the incision. I just took some tylenol for a couple days, wore some looser clothing and made sure to keep the incision site clean. Hopefully your pain has gone away by now.
