Hi i'm new to this forum and have a question..

Recently, over the past couple days i've had this weird pain in my chest. Its in my upper chest area, and it's more of a overall discomfort than a pain in a specific area. I don't know if this is coincidental, but a couple days ago, before the discomfort started, I woke up at 6 am with horrible diarrhea and vomiting. It was very sudden and I couldn't find a reason for it. It didn't seem like food poisoning to me.

Well, the problem i'm having with my chest is affecting my breathing. It hurts to take a deep breath - it also hurts to hiccup, and I seem to be having hiccups alot lately! I have had asthma since I was a kid, and have gotten it under control but this doesn't feel like asthma either.

What could possibly be wrong? I feel like this might be a sign or something - my lungs themselves don't seem to be hurting - more like the general area around my lungs feels tightened. I know I should probably see the doctor. Could this be the warning signs of a heart attack?
