Symptoms the same and I have gotten nowhere with this for 4 mnths now. But here are some possibilities.

1) drinking water could be contaminated by fungus, or parasites. I am considering boiling water, but still we must bathe. Afriend is sending me an herbal parasite cleanse. these can be hazardous, but I am willing.

b) or if you are in a city or near it, the water is being infiltrated by all the drugs doctors are prescribing. It is confirmed now that people are passing these through their system into our reconsituted public drinking water. these chemicals do not go away, or break down. I have used almost no pharmaceutical drugs in my lifetime, for the record, so our nervous seystems could be going out of calibration. that means thyroid which stimulates hormones. I seem to do great when I visit friends in the country.

2) this could be nerve damage being experience for many possible reasons. all of the catastrophes in the cities are collapsing highly toxic waste plants, building and oil rigs. These chemicals and toxins are rising into the clouds and releasing an acid rain or humidity.

3) upon googling this condition I found morgellons. I got a jewelers loop to see if anything is actually on my skin. 50% of time there is. But sometimes the nerves are just firing and dermatitis is setting in. I often see fibers trapped in the skin as if growing into, or out of my body. This makes the sores stubborn to heal. One theory on morgellons suggested that China developed a genetically engineered cotton resistant fiber (some such bs.) that has taken on a life of its own in your body. I got rid of my cheap china produced cotton fiber futon and matters improved. however not entirely. However I live in a studio that has indoor/outdoor carpet. cheap carpet may be the problem.

4)another suggests chemtrails that disperse arsenic and barium (for some such bs reason like weather control) this is plausable since symptoms fit with mild arsenic poisoning. We have had a flurry of chemtrails in my area of DFW and specifically when this began I was noticing heavy sky patterns

5) the solar emmisions from the sun are increasing to highly dangerous levels that our bodies are not used to. I began experiencing the twitching 10 yrs ago. Our race is perhaps mutating and evolving as we speak.

6) often industrial pollutants affect the society in their endocrine and hormonal systems which are highly delicate. this happened to the slavs downriver from chernobyl. Within a few years all the men had breasts and woman had mustaches. (wannna date?) It takes a skilled doctor to detirmine if these elements are out of whack....and frankly we are on our own. I have not met a physician yet, within my budget who is willing to detirmine any problem i have ever had. but if you had good insurance or alot of money they would treat you for a cancer you never had....be warned.

I find it a good opportunity to dispeal fear of death, and to practice healing myself in order to take true authority. but I go sleepless many nights now, with this strange tickling and prickling. Thank you for confirming that I am not crazy. self diagnosis is neurotic. If you get the pun. But we are in this together and if I see you in my mutant costume some Halloween, please remember we once all loved each other. se la vi.............

Prickling skin
I too, have the invisible pricking/itching/ant bite feelings, and I also have a flare-up of Herpes Simplex, the cold sores in corner of the mouth, and over-all viral feeling. has anyone else had a cold sore bought coinside with the prickling? Could be related, I suppose. I have also been eating Cheetos (not good) and having insomnia, like some of you have experienced.

nutritional deficiencies!
the cold sores are asymptom of a lack of B vitamins, the skin rash is caused by the clorine in hot water &flouride & other chemicals in our water. Solution go research salt baths, sole salt , unprocessed natural salt, water cures , hydration, mineral balance, & study this educational site ithyroid.com . look at some of my recent posts on salt treatments You'll be amazed what it does for our health!

I have been having the stinging all over my body now on/off for about a year. As well as the small pinpoint red dots have been increasing. I was wondering if anyone else on the list has had shingles, has taken either Lipitor or Synthroid - wondering if these drugs have any side effects, particularly Lipitor. It's such a bizaar sensation - I am glad there is a forum to discuss it. Thank you.

me too! unfortunately!
i started feeling the same exact symptoms as everybody else 2 days ago! happy to find the thread. i'm slightly a hypo as well, but not too intense. but yes before i saw this thread, before even researching, my immediate fears were--tumor effecting my nervous system, m.s. or an invisible man pinching me all over!!! (not really)i have had bad sinus infections in the past. i take nose sprays and inhalers for hyper reactive airways disdease (excercise induced asthma)...i recently stopped using them. does anybody else use inhalers/nose sprays. i'm feeling the stinging right now...it makes me feel exhausted/worn out. it almost feels like i'm getting beat up! i think im going to make an appt with infectious disease doctor. i am under a lot of stress right now-- but i have been worse in the past and this never happened. it feels so real. my mother seems to think it's psychosymatic..anxiety, but who knows????

Talcum Power
Did anybody try simple talcum powder after taking a shower and see if this occurs? This is for those who have the prickly burning feeling all over the body.

Well I have no depression or illness or anything. And I go to gym at least 3 times a week, eat well etc. Basiclly healthy female aged 34. I started to have tingling or pricking sensation all over my body from mid July and I went to holiday to Spain it went away too. Now it started. Last night exactly.
Tingling sensation is nothing bad or strong. It feels like after hot bath or shower I forgot to moisturize my body. But I do use good quality and quantity of moisturizer all the time. And I haven't changed my diet or lifestyle for last 10 years. So I am really puzzeled by this mild reaction or sensation i'm having at the moment. I thought it might be flea as I have 2 dogs. But it isn't as they are treated with flea treatment every month and are very clean dogs.
While i'm sitting here writing I feel some insect runs over random part of my body. Say arms or legs or shoulder and I feel a little pricking sensation. I'm really puzzled by it. My husband who sleeps in same bed has no reaction or problem at all and usually he is the one who complains about dry skin or flu or whatever.
So could it be possible my mind playing trick just thinking there is ants or feas on me.
I must say I did worry over something in mid July and it might be stress triggered reaction but I'm not worried at the moment. So please if anyone had a similar experience please post here and I will know I'm not only freak!
Thanks

Prickly stinging sensation due to sulfites and food colorings
I have experienced a prickly stinging sensation all over my body for the last three years. Believe me I know what you all are talking about, it's horrible. The initial cause was a diuretic I was taking for high blood pressure, hydrochlorothiazide. My doctor informed me that thiazides are sulfa based drugs and people can develop allergies to them. I stopped the drug and in five days I felt fine. Then it came back, the exact same feeling. I figured I must be consuming sulfa/sulfites. I started reading food labels and found out that many things I was consuming contained sulfites. To name a few; some yogurts, processed cakes, wine etc. Eliminating sulfites helped but did not solve the problem completely. I reviewed labels of food products that I felt were still causing the problem; the common factor was red dye #40, which consists of among other things sulfonic acid (sulfites). Avoiding sulfites and red dye #40 solved my problem for several months. If its red don't eat it, that's my philosophy. Red licorice, red M&Ms, red yeast rice for lowering cholesterol, root beer soda are a few examples. Well as I said it came back about 2 weeks ago, I'm having difficulty understanding why. By the way I found that once I consume red dye #40 it took 4 days for the prickly/stinging sensation to go away. I suspect my current problem may be due to other BP medication Lotrel or the generic form amlodipine/benazipril but not sure. Have stopped meds for one day so far, plan to be off for 5 days if possible and see if i get relief and survive. I hope this helps some one. For me sulfites and red dye #40 were definitely a cause, plus probably other food dyes which I try to avoid.
