Q: Asthma Surgery Cure?

I recently saw a program on tv where some people had a non invasive surgery. The insides of the bronchial airways were burned with a device that was heated to around 90degrees. I guess they were trying to scar smooth muscle tissue in the airway to stop it from contracting during an asthma attack. The procedure took 3 hours was painless and the people reported there asthma was near completly gone. Does anyone know anything about this treatment? What its called>?

Asthma Surgery
I saw a spot on the news where they were doing the same surgery. The surgery was being done at a hospital somewhere in hamilton, on. I have asked my doctor about this procedure and he said it is still in the research phase and will eventually become available to the general public.
